The Office of Student Veteran Services serves as the liaison between the University of Florida, its students, and the various federal, state, and local agencies concerned with the processing of VA Educational Benefits. As a reminder, leave-accruing TEAMS, Academic Personnel and USPS employees are eligible for 10 paid holidays each year. All events, including Gators athletics events, at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville will resume when the campus returns to normal operating status on Friday, Nov. 11. However, the university will remain closed for business and classes on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Veterans Day (November 11) makes this month a fitting occasion to salute our Grad Gators who are veterans or active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces. It’s also an apt moment to spotlight how the University of Florida helps them translate military experience into civilian opportunity through higher education.
