When you register as a virtual volunteer with Soldiers’ Angels, you gain access to a wide variety of ways you can support Service Members, Guardsmen, Reservists, Military Families, and Veterans of all generations. As little as five minutes of your day could bring lasting joy to a Care Package recipient. Operation Gratitude includes handwritten letters in every Care Package send to our Deployed Troops, Recruit Graduates, Veterans, Wounded Heroes, and First Responders. We can help identify volunteer opportunities that align with your interests, such as sports and recreation, social work, arts and music, personal assistance, writing, chapel services, companionship, transportation and escort services and so much more. Through engaging in-person volunteer opportunities, such as visiting patients at a VA Hospital or a base hospital, handing out groceries at food distributions and assisting at a VA or military food locker or pantry, you will be able to share your gratitude in person with past and present heroes. Provide food assistance to Service Members and Veterans in need by volunteering at a Soldiers’ Angels Military and Veteran Food Distribution held in seven cities across the country. Get involved with community activities that support all those in the Military-connected community, such as deployment events, Stand Downs, baby showers, and more. VA has many programs that you can volunteer your time with such as becoming a Volunteer Transportation Network Driver, greeting Veterans at the main entrance as a Red Coat Ambassador, or becoming part of the Compassionate Contact Corps by contacting socially isolated Veterans through phone calls.
